Fred Ruzanski, LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor
Master Addictions Counselor
National Board Certified Counselor

Fred, a former clinical director, is now able to pursue what he really loves, helping people one-on-one. Fred works primarily with adults and “baby boomers.” He has spent his career guiding people to overcome depression, anxiety, divorce, transition, grief & loss, and other challenging concerns.

Fred specializes in supporting both individuals in recovery and their families dealing with the impact of their loved one’s substance use. Fred’s primary interest is in working with people who are in long term recovery. Fred works to help them root out and resolve some of the life-long issues that may have been contributing factors in their substance use.

Fred is mild mannered and professional. He works to identify strengths, not weaknesses in his clients. He has honed his pragmatic, client centered, and collaborative approach to counseling over a long history of successful practice.

Fred has worked in both community mental health centers and substance abuse facilities over the course of his career. Fred received his Master’s Degree in Counseling from Suffolk University and a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Counseling Psychology from Northeastern University. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Virginia, holds a Master Addiction Counseling Certificate and is a Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor through the National Board of Certified Counselors.

Fred is new to Williamsburg from the Boston Area. He looks forward to getting to know his neighbors and riding the bike trails with his wife, Pam.
