Erin is a registered play therapist (link: http://www.a4pt.org/page/WhyPlayTherapy)  and masters level clinician with over twelve years of experience working with children and adolescents. She has worked in community mental health, private practice, and the public school system. Erin works with children and adolescents (and their parents) in individual and small group settings.

Erin utilizes an eclectic approach to therapy incorporating experiential therapy with cognitive behavioral and solution focused modalities. Erin has advanced clinical training in working with children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders, children in foster care, parent-child relationship difficulties, working with children with anxiety, and children with attachment difficulties. Erin strives to create a safe therapeutic environment in which children, their families, and the important adults in their lives feel empowered to work through their struggles and engage in opportunities to develop healthy attachments. 

Erin holds an M.Ed in Counseling from Campbell University and a B.A. in Psychology from The University of North Carolina at Wilmington. Erin is a licensed professional counselor in Virginia, a registered play therapist, a national certified counselor, and a licensed school counselor. 

Erin is currently attending training(s) for AutPlay certification (http://autplaytherapy.com/about-autplay/), as well as Theraplay Level 1 certification.
