Danielle works with those struggling with substance abuse,
addiction, pregnancy, transition into motherhood, postpartum anxiety and
depression, and any other major life stressors. Danielle strives to
support her clients in building up their resiliency and guiding the healing
process through anchoring strengths and building confidence. Danielle
recognizes that asking for help is the first step, and would welcome the
opportunity to travel with you on that path. She also strongly believes that in
order to feel better, you must start thinking better, so she offers a safe,
laid back and non-judgmental atmosphere to do just that. When the fear of
judgement is removed, amazing progress can happen.
In addition to talk therapy, Danielle also uses experiential
therapies such as Mandala, meditation, and mindfulness. She utilizes a
holistic therapeutic approach which encompasses the whole person including
physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, social, and environmental aspects.
Danielle holds a Master's
in Education in Community Counseling from the College of William and
Mary. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Virginia as well as a
Certified Substance Abuse Counselor. Danielle has worked in both private
inpatient as well as community outpatient substance abuse programs. She
has trained with Post Partum Virginia on Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders
and is looking forward to working with you!
